KELLY PRITCHETT is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). She is a former member of the University of Alabama Swimming and Diving Team. Kelly holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology, in addition to an undergraduate degree in Nutrition from The University of Alabama. Kelly has been a practicing RD since 2005. She spent 2 years working in the clinical setting during her doctoral work, and also worked with The University of Alabama Gymnastics Team. She has consulted with elite and collegiate athletes as well as active individuals. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Exercise Science at Central Washington University. Pritchett is the fact sheet editor and a member of the leadership committee of the Academy's Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition dietetic practice group, and a Media Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Her areas of research expertise include: post-exercise nutrition for recovery and vitamin D status of athletes with a spinal cord injury.
COACHING AND PERFORMANCE
ROBERT PRITCHETT holds a PhD in Human Performance from The University of Alabama. He is a former Division I cross country runner, who continues to compete in both road running and as a nationally-ranked triathlete, having qualified for the Ironman World Championship, the Ironman 70.3 World Championship, and the Xterra World Championships. Robert has extensive experience coaching both NCAA Division I athletes at Western Kentucky University and The University of Alabama, as well as high level athletes. His areas of research expertise include: Environmental Physiology, Nutrient Timing, Oxygen and Lactate Kinetics, and Post-exercise Nutritional Strategies for Enhancing Recovery (i.e. Chocolate Milk).

SPORTS NUTRITION CONSULTATION
Sports Nutrition sessions include an assessment of body composition, realistic goal setting and daily nutrition needs (calories, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins). Depending on the individual’s needs, the following topics will be discussed and plans will be provided: pre-exercise nutrition, post-exercise nutrition, nutrition on competition day, hydration needs, and weight loss/gain strategies. Follow up sessions are recommended for tracking progress to ensure goals are being met.
MEAL PLANNING (ATHLETE)
A nutrition consultation is required prior to this service.
Menu planning includes weekly menus derived from your training schedule to meet daily caloric and hydration needs in order to enhance sports performance during the competition season or lose body fat during the off-season. Weekly communication is required for altering menu plans, as necessary.
e-NUTRITION COACHING
*Requires one nutrition consultation.
Designed for the busy individual that just needs a little direction, motivation, and accountability. This can be done via email, online call and/or telephone
